I will read to you the mechanics of the game. So, everybody listen. Ok?

Mechanics:
1. I will divide the class into 8
groups and I want you to sit with your group mates and form a circle.
2. Each group will be given a
picture that was cut into pieces.
3. The group who can solve/form the
puzzle pieces first will receive 5 points.
4. Each group will choose a
representative to say something about the picture.

1. Why must we need to evacuate before volcano erupts?
We need to evacuate
before volcano erupts because it is not safe to stay at home and waiting for
the volcano to erupt could be very dangerous to your life and in your health.
2. Why do we need to stay away from an empting volcano?
Because the
literal blast of a volcano can travel many miles away.
3. Who can give me 3 kinds of the safety precautions
during volcanic eruption?
·
Avoid areas near
the slopes of the volcano. Lava could flow near the slopes.
·
If caught indoors,
close all windows, doors, and other openings. Remain indoors.
·
If caught
outdoors, protect your head from rocks and immediately run indoors.
·
Avoid low-lying
areas where lava flow could and reach and poisonous gases can collect.
·
Wear long-sleeved
shirts and a pair of pants to protect you from volcanic dust. Use a dust mask
to protect your eyes or hold a damp cloth over your face.
·
Never watch an
erupting volcano. Stay away from it. A lateral blast of a volcano can travel
many miles away.
·
Avoid mudflows.
Mudflows occur when rain falls and mixes with ashes and debris. Stay away from
bridge and streams to avoid mudflow.

What we must to do if we
have a respiratory ailment?
Stay indoors to
avoid inhaling dust and ash. Follow local health officials. Seek advice if it
is safe to go outside.
5. Who can give me 2 kinds of safety
precautions before, during and after volcanic eruption?
Before :

Learn about your
community’s warning system and develop an emergency communication plan. If
there is none, work with your community and develop one.
·
Prepare disaster
supplies or a survival kit.
During:
·
Avoid areas near
the slopes of the volcano. Lava could flow near the slopes.
·
If caught indoors,
close all windows, doors, and other openings. Remain indoors.
After :
·
Listen to
battery-powered radio or television for the latest emergency information.
·
Stay away from
volcanic ash fall. When outside, protect your eyes, mouth, and nose from
volcanic ash falls. Wear goggles to protect your eyes and use a damp cloth to
